Coordinator, Research & Analysis
Job Description:
For more than four decades, WMG has been an industry-leading force in providing a world-class array of services designed to help artists and labels grow their careers and their businesses. Artist & Label Services is the umbrella for WEA (Warner-Elektra-Atlantic) – the pioneering WEA distribution and marketing network – and Alternative Distribution Alliance (ADA) – the groundbreaking global distribution company for independent artists and labels.
We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join our innovative and highly sought-after Research+Analysis team within WEA, Warner Music Group's distribution division.
A little bit about our team:
The Research + Analysis department works to influence WMG's strategy and optimize day-to-day operations through data and insights. This position sits within R+A's global digital team, working with colleagues across a variety of disciplines at both the Corporate and label levels.
Why this could be your next big break:
Data is the lifeblood of today's record business, and in this role, you'll get to assist with the translation of massive data sets into meaningful insights meant to help our labels and artists connect with fans. Because the R+A team works closely with departments across the company, you will have the opportunity to see the inner workings and decision-making of a global record label - and the chance to influence those decisions with analysis. We're a collaborative team that loves learning new things, sharing ideas, thinking about the future of the music industry – and helping our company get there.
Here you will:
• Provide administrative support to the Senior Vice President and team leads within the Research+Analysis team, including but not limited to travel planning, answering phones, scheduling, and expenses
• Assist with the creation of analyses on partner trends, campaigns, and user behavior for account management, business development, labels, and international markets
• Assist in the preparation of weekly and monthly reporting of KPIs
• Aid the senior R+A team on research projects and handle various ad hoc requests and projects as needed
Rockstar candidates will be able to:
• Intellectually curious and self-directed
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively, including the ability to effectively interact with a wide range of personalities and styles
• Well-organized and capable of handling multiple projects at a time
• Fast paced work environment requires strong multitasking skills, excellent time management, and a high attention to detail
• Team player
It would be music to our ears if you also had:
• A bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance or Statistics preferred
• 1 – 2 years of experience
• Strong interest in all things data
• Knowledge of all standard computer programs; MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
