Coordinator, Marketing and Label Operations
A little bit about our team:
Marketing and Label Operations, positioned at the intersection of marketing and finance, works across 300 Elektra Entertainment labels as a vital component to the day-to-day workflow.
Operating behinds the scenes in a creative community, this team supports, from a business perspective, all areas of marketing including, but not limited to, radio promotion and video production. In addition, the team manages all travel and entertainment processes and related budgets across all labels.
The newly created coordinator position reports directly to the department vice president and director.
Your role:
As marketing and label operations coordinator, you will have the ability to learn all about the music business as this role interacts with each department.
You will be encouraged to participate in weekly company meetings, as appropriate, in addition to WMG offered workshops, special programs – all in an effort to educate, mentor and continually grow our community.
This role requires a high level of trust, as you will handle confidential and business sensitive materials.
You will be required to be professional in your actions and confident in your ability to conduct business according to WMG policies and procedures, including all related compliance matters.
Here you'll get to:
• Master all WMG internal systems, including but not limited to Concur, ARIBA and SAP, and lead training for employees.
• Be the center of information for operations-oriented company tasks with emphasis on WMG's Procure-to-Pay (PtP) process.
• Actively participate in vendor management requests, purchase order creation, invoice submissions, external invoice requests, journal entry process, and full participation in month and quarter end activities and reporting
• Assist with management of travel and entertainment processes, including budgeting and tracking spends, approvals for employee travel and gift requests, and auditing of employee reports for executive approval. You will be responsible for accurate reporting on monthly and quarterly basis.
• Maintain accurate artist marketing budgets, including planning, tracking and reporting. Lead as archive master for all contractual marketing approvals, including but not limited to video production/content
• Create and maintain department artist files for current releases including but not limited to marketing plans, production schedules, release dates, tour itineraries, other.
• Act as ticket coordinator for department requests
• Coordinate RIAA Certified Award requests for artists, employees, and third parties.
• Additional ad hoc requests
About you:
• You are passionate about music and the arts
• You have 1-2 years prior work experience (entry level finance a plus)
• You have Microsoft Office application experience
• You have exceptional interpersonal skills
• You have strong time management and prioritization skills
We'd love it if you also had:
• Bachelor's Degree
• Exceptional Excel skills
• Experience with SAP, ARIBA, CONCUR – or related business products and/or applications
