Job Description:
We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join our innovative and highly sought-after Publicity team at Atlantic Records.
Job Title: Assistant, Publicity
A little bit about our team:
The Publicity Department works in a very fast paced environment to maximize media coverage for our artists and, in turn, raise the overall profile of the artists on Atlantic and its affiliates. This is accomplished not only by utilizing established avenues, but, perhaps more importantly, through discovering and developing new outlets to increase our artists' visibility to the consumer. In addition, the department is responsible for maintaining up to date photos and bios on all active artists, the drafting and issuing official media releases to the media and the company, the planning and execution of special events, the planning and execution of artist press days and TV appearances, interaction with and planning for certain industry awards and award shows, and much more. This position will report directly to 2 VP's of National Publicity. Candidate must be passionate about music and Publicity/Communications.

Some of the responsibilities include administrative duties, such as answering phones, booking travel, scheduling interviews, preparing press releases, processing invoices and expense reports, maintaining press clips and reports, with the opportunity to also secure online/tour coverage when appropriate, assist in coordinating artists press days/events/TV bookings, and more.

Must have the ability to interact professionally with senior executives and media personnel
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
It would be music to our ears if you also had:
Bachelor of Arts Degree
Previous Label or Public Relations experience
Strong written and communication skills
