DC Comics seeks a Traffic Manager for the Manufacturing and Operations department.
The Daily
• Responsible for the Day-to-Day management and prioritization of Design assignments that come into the Creative Studio. Interact with departmental clients on each assignments. Work through any/all schedule conflicts. Escalate higher level jobs/concerns to Creative Directors as needed and when appropriate.
• Work with Creative Directors to establish and manage a logging system that will track all assignments for the Creative Studio. The Manager needs to track client, designer and deadline thru to final execution.
• Responsible for the establishment and adherence of departmental procedures that support the inflow of work to the Creative Studio from it varied client base. Assure the observance to all procedure for assignments by both design staff and its client base at inflow and exit of the Creative Studio.
• Troubleshoot job details and assets needed for assignments. Coordinate with support departments and client base to assure that all required materials are made available to each designer prior to starting or as needed during a job.
• When applicable track allocation of all external resources being used to service the Creative Studio (graphic service agencies, artist, etc.). Work through any/all schedule conflicts.
• Work with the technology team and attend all meetings associated with workflow updates. Bring solutions or concerns to Creative Directors for evaluation as needed.
• Continually evaluate department systems and procedures always suggesting ways to maximize efficiency to Creative Directors.
• Attend Design all related meetings as needed.
• Other duties as required.
The Essentials
• 4-Year Degree or related degree in accredited school or equivalent work experience required.
• Prior experience (5 years) using digital workflow technology at a Design service bureau, publisher, entertainment or related environment required.
• Must have knowledge of a digital design/production environment.
• Must have strong administrative skills.
• Must have knowledge of Mac computers and peripheral devices.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work as a team in an office as well as a virtual environment.
• Must have knowledge of Microsoft Suite, BOX, Monday and job management systems.
• Must have ability to multitask and organize work effectively.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of entertainment industry strongly preferred.
