Warner Bros. Studio Operations (WBSO) oversees the physical operations of the historic 110-acre main lot in Burbank including its 30 soundstages and 20-acre backlot, as well as production-related services including costume, set-dressing, construction, set lighting, catering, transportation, photography and much more. The production site also hosts tours for consumers offering guests intimate views at the inner workings of thriving entertainment studios.
The Job
WarnerMedia seeks a Studio Tour Retail Manager for the Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood department.
The Daily
• Oversees multiple retail stores and cafes attached to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour. Annual Retail Merchandise sales $7-10M, Food/Beverage $3M, Store will eventually service 500K customers and increase annually going forward. Meeting annual spend per guest goals will be primary measure of financial success.
• Maintains and executes job training that includes on-boarding/orientation, selling, customer service, knowledge of product and Warner Media intellectual properties, cash handling, barista, food handling and safety; culminating in high levels of customer service for the guest.
• Share business opportunities with supervisor such as new products, events, and changes/improvements to the operation.
• Supports the Studio Tour as duty coverage as needed/scheduled
• Develops employees for career growth and mentors them for advancement. Manage employee relations inclusive of performance management, disciplinary action, and coaching conversations.
• Forecasts and manages labor head-count and budget for planned tour visitors including seasonal peaks and events. Approves all schedules for the operation.
• Achieves necessary ratings for Department of Health Services inspections, and other audits in cafes. Maintains a certified food handler certificate and ensures that all food handlers are DHS Food Handler certified.
• Partners with Merchandise Manager to ensure stores are stocked and merchandised correctly.
The Essentials
• 5 years retail experience is required
• Food and Beverage experience is preferred
• 2 years management experience in a $3M store is required.
• Management experience of a staff of 20 employees and above is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business related field or equivalent experience preferred
• Certified food handler preferred
