The Job
WarnerMedia seeks a Director, Commercial Analytics and Strategy, North America for the Sales & RBD department.
The Director of Commercial Analytics and Strategy is a key business partner for the North America Consumer Products and eCommerce Teams. This individual will use first- and third-party data, customer research insights, and market trends to drive analysis that will identify opportunities to grow the North America business and optimize for consumer engagement. This individual will then successfully partner with retail, eCommerce, marketing, and category teams to create activation strategies and plans and to execute on-going measurement of program progress. This individual must have strong analytical skills combined with strong business acumen, as will be expected to clearly link the data to business realities and provide the ''so what'' and recommendations that business leaders need to make decisions and take action.
The Daily
• Integrates, analyzes and interprets data to guide strategic business decisions
• Identifies and prioritizes potential initiatives to grow revenue, improve profitability and increase customer engagement
• Develops and maintains customer segment profiles to ensure business is meeting needs of our key customers, anticipating where consumers are trending towards, and growing the size of the fan base
• Partners with category and retail teams to assist in creating detailed business plans focused on commercial and growth opportunities
• Creates models for business concepts such as distribution, market share, category and sku mix, and price tiering
• Responsible for timely delivery of insights driven from consolidation of data from various sources; creates and leads cadence for updating business on opportunities and progress; creates user-friendly reports and visualization that aid in informing teams to clearly identify actions to grow business
• Determines overall key performance indicators (KPIs) for North America business and monitors performance of retail and commercial activities using key metrics to identify opportunities and actions
• Determines framework & methodology for evaluating performance of various initiatives; includes test-and-learn approach and distinguishing impact of multiple variables impacting the business at once
• Defines business requirements for data collection and user access
• Serves as a leader and thought partner to champion driving decisions through data analysis
• Documents and shares insights and best practices across North America and Global teams
• Collaborates and coordinates across diverse teams including marketing, sales, product development, category management, digital and finance
• Delivers clear data driven insights in both verbal and written form
• Performs other related duties as required
The Essentials
• 8 years delivering analytics-driven business insights for a consumer product business either in-house or at a top consulting firm
• Bachelor's degree in a related field required; MBA preferred
• Strong background in customer analytics and designing business solutions to meet customer needs as determined by data analysis
• Excels at both ''Thinking Big'' and ''Knowing the Details'', demonstrating exemplary skills analyzing large data sets, partnering with business stakeholders, and turning analyses into actionable insights
• Ability to turn complex questions and issues into clear analysis and results
• Demonstrated agility and comfort in arriving at recommendations and solutions without all the information you want
• Strong understanding of retail strategies across pricing, assortment, fulfillment, and inventory management required; experience with eCommerce or digital marketing analytics preferred
• Passion for data and an obsession to use data to drive value for customers and business
• Advanced Excel skills (i.e. data connections, complex formulas, pivot tables, etc.)
• Strong presentation (PowerPoint, Keynote) skills
