Senior Financial Analyst, Accounting
What part will you play?
Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. is seeking an experienced accountant with excellent judgment and customer service skills to join our Finance team.
The Senior Financial Analyst will plan and carry out day-to-day accounting activities and processes for the Enterprise Financial Services - Home Entertainment general ledger and R2R accounting department. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial statements and making business objectives are met while working closely with auditors and WB Finance executives around the world. You should be comfortable making decisions independently and looking for opportunities to improve the team's processes.
As a member of the Warner Bros. finance group, you'll be a part of the corporate and administrative teams. These teams provide expertise and support across Warner Bros. business groups, enabling the company's continued growth, innovation and success.
The Role:
Analyze and approve actual results for quarter and month-end closing processes under tight deadlines.
Review and approve journal entries that impact Warner Bros.' financial statements to Time Warner.
Maintain the Enterprise Financial Services - Home Entertainment general ledger.
Manage the relationship with the team's BPO provider, including resolving issues and prioritizing daily checklists.
Lead meetings with executives and finance teams to analyze and discuss performance and potential improvements.
Research US GAAP compliance issues and provide relevant accounting guidance.
What do we require from you?
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
CPA or MBA preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years experience working with accounting or related financial area required.
Previous ''Big 4'' accounting experience preferred.
Prior experience in shared service environment a plus.
Must be proficient in Windows, Excel, Access and Word. SAP/Oracle knowledge preferred.
Overtime required, as needed.
Domestic & international travel required as needed.
