Warner Bros. Consumer Products Inc. seeks a Sr. Financial Analyst for the Audit & Compliance department. The Sr. Financial Analyst supports the financial reporting and compliance functions, serves as the internal procurement point of contact and assists with various analysis projects as needed. Responsibilities
Responsibilities
-Supports all aspects of the monthly/quarterly close and financial plan deliverables to Corporate, including (but not limited to): by-title submissions, P&L ''cause of change'' schedules, support schedules, government surveys and the electronic financial package.
-Supports preparation and submission of the cash forecast.
-Conducts variance analysis, G/L research, and various other ad hoc functions.
-Leads in preparation of quarterly flash report.
-Prepares and submits required quarterly Sarbanes-Oxley deliverables, including key control QVCs, narratives, test materials and audit requests. Requires a thorough understanding of WBCP's control environment and the ability to address, in a nuanced way, various inquiries and requests from the WB Compliance team and WB's internal auditors.
-Serves as main point of contact and subject matter expert for internal procurement and payment activities. Although much of the work resides within the individual departments, you will likely coordinate check and wire transfers, master data (vendor) setup, arranging for employees' procurement system rights, researching purchase orders and payment statuses and generally guiding users to the proper resources when help is needed.
-Assists in special projects as business needs arise.
What do we require from you?
-BA/BS in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field.
-CPA and/or MBA desired.
-5+ years previous work experience in fast paced, deadline driven accounting/finance environment.
-Experience with enterprise procurement solutions, preferably SAP.
-Thorough knowledge of accounting principles.
-Experience with ERP systems, especially SAP.
-Advanced Excel (pivot tables, macros, formulas), with proficiency with other MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Access).
-Must possess a high level of intellectual curiosity and a willingness to look beyond surface requirements.
-Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with persons at all levels.
-Must be willing to collaborate with management and peers to advance team and company goals.
-Must be detail-oriented, with the ability to understand written and oral instructions.
-Must be flexible as priorities shift.
-Must have the ability to multi-task and work well under time constraints.
-Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
