What part will you play?
Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. seeks an Analyst for the Financial Contract Reporting & Administration (FCRA) Participations department. FCRA Participations department handles contractual reporting to talent and co-production companies on all of Warner Bros. film, television, and new media libraries. It's an exciting, fast paced organization that provides a unique opportunity to learn all aspects of the company---from production to initial film and television release and through all downstream channels of distribution. FCRA provides excellent opportunities to learn about the entertainment industry and offers year-round training to educate new employees on participations reporting. FCRA also offers flexible work arrangements and fun team-building opportunities including volunteering events, bake sales, and picnics.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who is passionate about the entertainment industry. The Analyst is responsible for preparing and reviewing participations statements. Analyst reviews and understands contractual agreements, ensuring that all financial obligations are met. Applicant must possess keen logical thinking capabilities and attention to detail. Additionally, the Analyst will be responsible for enhancing department systems and tools through involvement in system design and testing; and improving business processes.
Prepare participations statements leveraging a new state-of-the-art Participations system, WB's enterprise SAP platform, existing tools, and analytical methodologies.
Activities include performing current and historical data analysis and verifying that reporting is in accordance with contractual agreements. The analysis takes into consideration the windowing and release patterns of film/television/new media, distribution cost trends analysis, etc. Research on underlying transactional activity can require usage of SAP and/or other line of business components.
Identify improvements and enhancements related to FCRA's participations system (aka Sylvester) and participate in testing.
Support ad-hoc and special projects, including presentations to management and staff.
Attend training sessions and cross-divisional forums as needed.
What do we require from you?
Bachelor's degree required. (Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or Information Systems preferred).
Participations and/or entertainment industry experience preferred.
Experience with system implementations and testing preferred.
Experience in a large corporate environment preferred.
Very strong to expert competency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
SAP experience preferred.
Must have ability for progressive responsibility/promotion within the organization.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including development, documentation, and delivery of training materials.
