Full Time Unpaid Internship
What part will you play?
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is seeking a graduate student intern for our Television Marketing Analysis team. This team is responsible for building the EST (Electronic Sell-Through) business for Warner Bros. live action TV series and support business decisions through analytics. This internship is intended to provide meaningful and practical work experience to a student interested in using statistics, data and programming to meet real world challenges in a fast-paced business environment.
The duration of the internship is 10 weeks. The intern will be expected to help support marketing analysis activities for global WBHE TV EST business including lifecycle planning, performance tracking, promotion analysis, customer segmentation and pricing analysis. The internship will provide valuable exposure to various departments within WBHE including Brand Marketing, Retail/Trade Marketing, Sales, Finance and Account Planning.
Some of the duties will include:
• Assist in the development of dashboards for monitoring existing and future statistical and machine learning models:
• Use existing Python and R packages to extract detailed learnings and diagnostics from existing models.
• Develop a Python or R workflow for archiving model learnings and diagnostics so that the team can monitor model evolution over time.
• Create dashboards that summarize diagnostics for current and archived models.
• Use these dashboards to evaluate model quality and the incremental value of new model features.
• Analyze digital TV customer behavior and retention:
• Build a Python workflow to automate data extraction and data management.
• Develop dashboards to monitor customer trends across all Warner TV series.
• Additional duties as time permits:
• Use Python, R, Tableau, SQL, SAS, and other languages and/or applications to analyze trends, build strategies and tackle real world problems
• Help manage lifecycle planning for EST releases and promotions
• Monitor industry trends, digital competitive release activity and title performance
• Monitor digital retailer activity for quality assurance and best practices
What do we require from you?
• Must be enrolled as a graduate student in a college or university and in good academic standing (3.0 GPA or higher).
• Must be excited to use data and programming to tackle marketing and business problems.
• Statistics, Mathematics or Data Science major with a strong interest in business management preferred.
• Business major (Marketing or Finance) with a strong interest in analytics and data-driven decisions.
• Interest and knowledge of entertainment properties, television or digital landscape helpful.
• Open and excited to learn statistical and visualization software (Python, R, Tableau, SAS, etc.).
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully (written and verbal) with all levels in the organization.
