What part will you play?
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is seeking an MBA intern for the New Release Film Marketing team. This internship is intended to provide meaningful and practical work experience to an MBA student interested in Brand Marketing for the Home Entertainment Group.
The duration of the internship is approximately 10 weeks. The Intern will be expected to assist the team in planning for key marketing activities for the 2020 calendar year and facilitate the execution of 2019 marketing tactics to support new-to-format and base catalog films.
• Assist in defining marketing strategy, product positioning and writing marketing briefs to communicate objectives to support functions across promotions, publicity, creative and digital marketing.
• Assist in developing volume projections, marketing budgets and P&Ls for new to format releases.
• Develop selling guides and retailer creative assets, review and approve trade materials, provide meta data direction, coordinate delivery of retail assets.
• Assist in 2020 planning, including identify key theatrical release anniversaries in 2020 and develop strategic plans to support the titles with marketing tactics. Examples include, but are not limited to:
• National and retail-specific social media marketing plans.
• Opportunities for Extras updates.
• Work with the team to ideate on national and retail-specific marketing promotions for physical and digital retailers to drive the base catalog business (e.g., physical line looks, seasonal digital marketing assets, etc.).
• Help manage the development and review of marketing assets to support ad hoc cross-promotional opportunities (e.g., airing of WB film on TV, film IP related videogame release, etc.).
• Assist with ad hoc projects as needed.
What do we require from you?
• Must be enrolled as an MBA student in a college or university and in good academic standing
• Concentration in either Business, Marketing, Strategy or a directly related field of study.
• Must have proficient computer skills; Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook preferred.
• Proficiency in photoshop or graphic design skills is preferred, but not a must.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with managers and other levels of personnel.
• Must have the ability to pay close attention to details.
• Must have the ability to be organize and adjust to re-prioritization of tasks on a regular basis.
• Must have the ability to work well under time constraints.
• Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks.
