Employee Relations, you will work with our Cast Members, Crew Members, Imagineers, and business partners across Walt Disney Parks and Resorts to deliver a high level of quality service in support of all Employee Relations initiatives.
Responsibilities
Make an impact by...
• Partnering closely with Employee Relations Managers to assist in conducting Employee Relations investigations by:
• Providing consultation to and communicating with Area Leadership in partnership with ER Managers
• Conducting interviews for investigations
• Consulting with Area Leadership to provide guidance on case management
• Participating in case reviews and consulting with Employee Relations Managers
• Collaborating with other Employee Relations Managers to manage Cast Walk ins and conducting interviews
• Preparing and managing Employee Relations cases by:
• Managing case discovery process, including assessing case type, writing summary, and case assignment
• Acting as Cast Members' and Leaders' first point of contact for initiating investigations
• Assisting Employee Relations Managers with administrative duties involved in case management
• Analyzing data / metrics to identify themes, trends, and root causes
• Interacting and working with team members outside of the HR/DI organization to include Legal, Security, Public Affairs, Management Audit, Advisory & Assurance and Risk Management
• Engaging with Employee Relations team members across The Walt Disney Company to assist with advancing case work and other ER initiatives as needed / directed

Preferred Qualifications
• Prior Employee Relations experience
• Ability to speak multiple languages
• Strong understanding of Employment Law including Title Vll, ADA, ADEA, and FMLA
• Prior experience with The Walt Disney Company and knowledge of Company policy
• Knowledge of Labor Law and the Company's union contracts
• Experience working with any of the following systems: SAP, SharePoint, Intuit QuickBase, ERMS, Hummingbird, Performance Connection, Disney Development Connection, Kenexa, Adobe, and the Microsoft suite of products including Outlook, Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Internship Eligibility:
• Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR have graduated from college within the past six months OR be currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
• Not have already completed two consecutive (spring/fall) College or Professional Internship Programs
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization
• Must provide full work availability
• Must provide own transportation to/from work
• Current Active Disney cast members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World cast members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland cast members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)
Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are June 2018 through January 2019. Interns must be fully available for the duration of the internship.
Housing: This internship is based in Orlando, FL. A limited amount of company-sponsored housing is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
