Part Time Unpaid Internship
Job Summary:
The Brand Development and Integrated Planning team is focused on building and managing key franchises across Disney Channel and Disney Junior. The team works internationally to leverage franchise properties to drive business for The Walt Disney Company. The team collaborates with all Disney Channel cross-departmental teams including Development, Platform Strategy, Marketing, and Ad Sales to align franchise and cross-company business strategies.
Responsibilities:
You will work on a wide array of projects, including but not limited to:
• Develop planning and communications tools for Franchise Businesses.
• Coordinate and organize integrated plans for the launch and sustain of Disney Channel properties
• Develop and document organizational processes with key Walt Disney Television divisions.
• Support business needs related to live entertainment experiences and museum exhibits.
• Coordinate and organize long-term plans for critical Disney Channels Worldwide franchises
• Assist in acquisition and distribution of DCWW Brand Development assets, including but not limited to animation, photography, logos, style/branding guides, video, scripts, SFXs, music and other related assets required to support the on-going operations of DCWW Brand Development and Integrated Planning
• Support management of Brand Development's file and video watermarking process according to Disney Content Protection standards
Basic Qualifications:
What you bring to the role…
• High attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Strong proficiency with Excel and Keynote, video editing and Photoshop skills preferred
• Experience in franchise management, brand strategy, marketing strategy, live entertainment (concerts, experiences, etc.), live action and animation properties, kids Television, etc.
• Ability to conceptualize and construct compelling presentation with demonstrated Keynote skills
• Strong relationship skills, professional under pressure and confident presence in company of executives.
• High personal standards and independent thinking with proven ability to drive projects from start to completion, overcoming obstacles by influencing others to achieve goals
• Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, with the skill to work in a very fast paced, reactionary work environment with quick turnarounds and deadlines
• Understanding of TV, international, animation, licensing, consumer products and retail businesses
• Self-starter, driven to exceed expectations set by others
• Great presence and verbal communication skills
• Adept at organizing and facilitating meetings
• Possess creative acumen, maturity and enthusiasm
Required Education
• At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
Additional Information:
• The approximate dates of this internship are May/June 2020 through August/September 2020
• Candidate must be available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship
• At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization
• Housing: Interns must provide their own housing for the duration of their internship program.
• Transportation: Interns must have reliable transportation to get to and from work for the duration of their internship program.
