Photography helps tell the story of the Walt Disney Company worldwide. We work closely with all parts of the company to produce, manage and deliver quality and captivating photography.
Responsibilities:
A Day in the Life…
You will perform a variety of duties that are invaluable to the company's success. You will receive hands-on experience and knowledge in what it takes to develop and deliver compelling photography.
Interns have become vital contributors to the photo staff. They perform critical back-up duties to everyday tasks.
For the last few semesters now, we have assigned interns actual job functions:
• High volume archiving and transfer of photo assets to our cloud system.
• Assist with editing on case-by-case basis.
• Help with captioning and entering meta-data into our finished images.
• Assist with simple image clean-up on case-by-case basis.
• Function as a production assistant on photo shoots.
• Function as a runner for corporate/red carpet events.
Basic Qualifications:
What we are looking for…(Basic Qualifications)
• Experience with the entertainment business or experience with television/film in college
• Excellent writing and communications skills
• A sharp eye for detail
• An interest in pursuing a career in entertainment
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience (academic or internship) in television and/or production
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
• Proficiency in Office 365
• Understanding of Photography
Required Education
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class, or be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months at time of application, or be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program
Additional Information:
• The approximate dates of this internship are January through May 2020
• Candidate must be available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship
• Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization
• Housing: Interns must provide their own housing for the duration of their internship program.
• Transportation: Interns must have reliable transportation to get to and from work for the duration of their internship program.
