Part Time Unpaid Internship
Job Summary:
ABC Entertainment develops and produces compelling programming and some of the most successful talked-about series on television today.
The ABC Entertainment Communications department is responsible for handling all communication efforts for ABC Primetime, Daytime and Late-Night programming. The intern would assist the ABC Entertainment Communications department in all areas.
Responsibilities:
A day in the life…
Responsibilities
include but are not limited to:
• Create and maintain schedules and press lists.
• Curate and disseminate information to team.
• Send materials to press.
• Manage media files.
• Serve as production assistant on publicity video shoots.
• Contribute to social media efforts.
• Log video and fulfill clip requests.
• Assist in writing press releases, loglines and bios
• Assist at publicity and FYC events, including some evenings and weekends
Basic Qualifications:
What you bring to the role…
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
• Previous media/PR internship experience.
• Strong organizational/multi-tasking/prioritization skills; proficient written and verbal communication skills; ability to see projects through to completion; self-starter/able to take initiative.
• Interpersonal/relationship-building skills; ability to take feedback and direction.
• Strong attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative, team based environment.
• Strong familiarity or hands-on experience with field and post-production of video.
• Active on social media.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Junior or Senior-level standing, or a recent graduate within 6 months of graduation date.
• Previous internship experience within a related field.
Additional Information:
• All candidates must be eligible to work in the US.
• All candidates must be at least 18 years old.
• All candidates must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months - OR - be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program in order to qualify for this internship.
• Work is not remote; it is in-office.
• All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session.
• All candidates must be able to work in the Burbank office and provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.
Program Dates:
• All candidates must be available from January - May
• All candidates must be willing to work 40 hours/week
