Media Planning Coordinator (Disney Junior)
Job Summary:
Working closely with Content and Platform Strategy teams, the Disney Junior Media Planning Coordinator is responsible for promo placement within both linear and non-linear on-air schedules. The Coordinator will use on-air promotion and interstitial elements to optimize viewer navigation throughout program content and often cross promoting from platform to platform. Other responsibilities include: maintaining the promo and graphic inventory within multiple systems such as GRiP It, Bebanjo. This position works closely with Traffic, Marketing, and Programming and Ad Operation teams to insure timely and accurate completion of both linear and non-linear log schedules.
Responsibilities:
• Strategically plan and place: promos, interstitials and lower 3rd graphic elements on both linear and non-linear (Disney Apps and Set Top Box VOD) platform schedules
• Maintain familiarity with program priorities and promotional elements to help drive ratings and digital viewing consumption
• Provide input regarding the development of needed promotional elements (i.e., spot lengths, tracks), especially with forethought of non-linear promo strategies
• Be able to proofread schedules of other team members for errors and adherence to promotional priorities
• Have clear understanding of promotional elements and formats, with the ability to train others in the basics of short form linear and non-linear scheduling
• Liaise with 3rd party vendors in regards to systems implementation, development and maintenance
• Contribute proactive and innovative promotional strategies as they relate to a promotion in an on-demand viewing experience
Basic Qualifications:
• 2 years in media related field preferred
• GRiP It, Wide Orbit and/or other non-linear scheduling systems knowledge is preferred
• Familiarity with Dynamic Ad Insertion a plus
• Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
• Highly organized with attention to detail
• Professional phone manner and strong inter-personal people skills
• Must have a positive can-do attitude and be team oriented
• Interest in children's programming is a plus
Required Education
• Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent years of experience
Additional Information:
• Proficient in the following Applications: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Outlook, Slack
• Proficiency in the following scheduling systems preferred: GRiP It; Wide Orbit (Traffic), Mediator, and BeBanjo
