Job Summary:
The Engagement Marketing group is responsible for the developing the strategies and execution of paid and organic marketing efforts across the Disney Channels Worldwide portfolio.
Responsibilities:
The Manager, Social Media is responsible for the planning, management, development and execution of content across Series/DCOMs (live action) and Platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook). This person will collaborate with the Engagement Marketing team, Social Content Producers and Creative Marketing team to create the optimal content. They will establish key content practices through a data lens, providing feedback across the Social Marketing and Creative Marketing teams. This manager will maintain the integrity of Franchises and Platforms while focusing on collaboration, innovation, process and staying relevant in the digital space. They will use their expertise in the digital space and their internal knowledge of guidelines and best practices to lead internal and external partners through planning, managing, developing and executing content. The Manager, Social Media will have ownership of all Talent strategies, shoots, and plans as well as all of Disney Channel Live Action social content strategy & execution.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of 4-6 year's experience in digital marketing, social strategy, content strategy, video production, content creation and/or agency side
• Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to align creative strategy with overall business objectives
• Previous experience in conceptualizing, articulating, developing and communicating strategies to stakeholders at all levels
• Strong strategy, problem solving, analytical, and presentation skills
• Extensive digital content and marketing strategy experience, content development experience and digital media knowledge
• Polished in presentation and communication as well as understanding process
• Demonstrates ability to champion projects from concept to completion
• Highly strategic, creative mind with a passion for storytelling
• Ability to operate on both analytic and creative levels
• Excellent time management and project management skills, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong work ethic and high level of confidentiality, as well as precise attention to detail and sound judgement as it relates to brand safety
• Passion for digital strategy and marketing as well as how they drive a business
• Passion, appreciation and knowledge of TWDC properties and IP (Disney Franchises and Verticals) absolutely essential
Preferred Qualifications:
• Preferred experience in social or digital strategy
• Experience interfacing and managing Talent and associate marketing strategies a plus
• Versed in digital publishing tools, digital analytics tools (Tubular, Crimson, ListenFirst, Canvs, Shareablee, etc.) project management systems, presentation formats (Keynote, PPT, etc.) and native digital CMS and insights tools (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)
Required Education
Minimum BA or BS degree, preferable in Communications, Business, Marketing, and/or related field
