Manager, Original Programming (Disney Junior)
Job Summary:
Disney Junior is in need of an experienced animation television junior executive.
Responsibilities:
• Creative development – Strong creative skills with regard to evaluating and giving notes on pitches, scripts, storyboards, rough cuts, casting, music and mixes. Good writing skills and knowledge of script structure. Ability to manage creative talent as well as manage current series.
• Production management – support senior executives with production from initial premise through final delivery of series episodes. Represent Disney Junior's point of view and creative goals to producers as requested. Collaborate with Talent and Music departments. Collaborate with Production to support production plans. Uphold network standards and production guidelines. Must be able to manage multiple projects.
• Teamwork - Must be able to communicate effectively within the team and work well across all divisions at TWDC – including consumer products, new media, and publishing. Must be able to build relationships, collaborate and establish clear communication with multiple teams within Disney Junior – on and off air marketing, media relations, research, business affairs and brand management.
• Presentation skills – must be experienced and confident in presenting development and production plans to all affiliated lines of business within TWDC and to external partners.
Basic Qualifications:
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in television and/or feature film development and/or current series production
• Knowledge of target audience helpful
• Time management and organizational skills
• Clear-thinking, straightforward approach to problem-solving and decision making
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in animation and/or children's television
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree with emphasis in media, film or theatre, or equivalent work experience
