Job Summary:
Creative Marketing/Engagement Marketing Shared Internship - REMOTE - Fall 2020
Disney Channel Creative Marketing Design and Engagement Marketing teams are looking for an intern with experience (and/or passion) for creative marketing and social media. A successful candidate should have a strong design aesthetic that will compliment and elevates our brands, as well as a deep knowledge of social media, and more specifically, TikTok. We work in a fast-paced environment, so the ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running.
This intern will have duel responsibilities by supporting Engagement Marketing and Creative Marketing Design. Ideally, this internship opportunity will support growth for the intern and bridge our teams by benefiting communication, idea generation, design and workflow.
Responsibilities:
Disney Channel Creative Marketing and Engagement Marketing teams seek a motivated individual with exceptional design, social media, project management, communication and organizational skills. This position will dual report to the Sr. Manager Design and Sr. Manager, Social Media Marketing and will assist in both the design and supervision of creative service efforts supporting the Disney Channel Marketing Design team, as well as the launch of Disney Channel's TikTok account, supporting the Engagement Marketing team. This intern will serve in both ideational and executional roles, assisting in developing the social strategy around the Disney Channel TikTok launch, as well as acting as a designer (and/or synergy) for the marketing team and ensures our Disney Channel network interests are represented and is consistent across all media.

Key Responsibilities
• SOCIAL CONTENT PRODUCTION, IDEATION & CURATION
• General Support
• Assist in trend-related or timely post ideation
• Work with the live-action series manager to develop TikTok content plans around all key campaign priorities
• Provide trend reports twice weekly
• Assist in pulling of source assets
• Assist in post scheduling
• Bespoke Projects
• A pitch of TikTok ideas to support the launch of Sulphur Springs
• A pitch of TikTok ideas to support the launch of TBD February series
• Develop a snapshot of Disney Channel talent and content in the TikTok space
• Develop a competitive analysis of branded content on TikTok
• CREATIVE DESIGN/BRANDING
• Manage reative materials
• Execute work requests
• Brand management and development of marketing materials to build awareness and expand our audience exposure
• Support the marketing department by developing creative – ensuring it is on brand, reviewed and approved by stakeholders
• Liaison to creative to partners, discuss execution, changes and manage deliveries
• Create branded designs and concepts for print (ads, posters, logos etc.), digital, on-site and video productions
• Organize and prioritize job requests to meet deadlines
• Serve as liaison between internal clients and vendors
• Review, evaluate and manage incoming job requests and outgoing deliverables ensuring creative is on brand
• Communicate and partner with creative marketing, content and digital team Develop and prepare presentations
• Use graphic software and work with a wide variety of media
Basic Qualifications:
• Presence on TikTok, with a deep knowledge of how the platform works, inclusive of creative tools, discovery, trends, influencers, etc.
• Compelling portfolio of creative marketing and graphic design you have developed or conceptualized, with an emphasis on social and digital work
• Working/basic experience with Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and digital media
• Proven skills utilizing MS Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, as well as Keynote
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Demonstrated strategic thinker with great creative flair and an eye for design detail
• Presence on and interest in Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and TikTok. Professional experience with social media bonus, but not a requirement
• Interest in entertainment marketing
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, set priorities and meet deadlines
• Clearly demonstrates strategic thinking and ability to discern meaningful needs to leverage brand impact with consumer
• Clearly manages through people and ability to relate to other functional needs
• Dependable and detail-oriented team player
• Ability to accept constructive criticism and problem solver
• Eager to learn new things regarding creative and marketing trends
Required Education
A student studying marketing and creative or Bachelor degree in graphic design or equivalent formal training.
Must be a Junior or above, with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Additional Information:
• Internship will be based remotely, working from home
• Candidate must be able to commit to working full time hours, with flexibility, from mid-September through mid-December
• Candidate must either be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, or within 18 months of graduation, at the time of application
