Responsibilities:
The Manager, Creative Affairs will manage creative assignments, support creative development executives on animation and live action projects, and manage the creative affairs administrative workflow. The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
• Participates with the creative development executives to assist in the identification of the best story, with the best writers and directors, within established service levels on both animation and live action projects
• Stays abreast of industry trends, compiles research on writers, directors, genres, competitive projects, etc., and shares with the team in staff meetings and email updates
• Manages Creative Affairs workflows as necessary, and functions as internal liaison to other departments for development process questions and presentations
• Track projects and provide updates as necessary
Basic Qualifications:
• Relevant film production experience
• 3 years experience in a creative film role, preferably including manager/CE work, or on a senior production executive or agency desk
• Outstanding organization and communication skills, written and oral
• Has deep understanding of writers, scripts, and the filmmaking process
• Demonstrated initiative and follow-up with high volume, complex workflow
• Ability to work with others as a collaborative team player
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Development experience as a Creative Executive or Manager, or 3 years on a creative development executive's desk
• Animation experience and an awareness of animation talent
• Experience working in a role leading others
• Proven experience providing notes to creative development executives
Required Education
• BS/BA degree
