Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced candidate to fill the permanent position of Manager L&D and OD EMEA based in Hammersmith London.
The successful candidate will be member of the EMEA Learning & Development team with responsibilities in diversity & inclusion, talent & leadership development and OD related tasks. This role will manage the successful assessment, development and delivery of people and team development activities throughout the EMEA region.
This role is designed to offer critical support to Disney teams and individuals across EMEA, ensuring appropriate development programs and content are developed and delivered. The role will have a true EMEA focus and development solutions could be created and delivered across the entire region to meet the needs of the business.
Responsibilities:
• Identify people and team development needs in the organisation in close cooperation with the HR Country teams and management
• Work alongside Country Teams to ensure that all solutions are equally applicable in Europe therefore enabling consistent execution across all markets
• Consult with business clients, assess their needs / requirements and propose training and development strategies and interventions, following discussions with Senior Management, initiate plans and organise the development and delivery of training programmes
• Adapt, develop and deliver on-going training and development events to meet diagnosed needs and continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the programmes
• Manage the adaptation / design of materials, such as trainer notes, exercises, handouts, etc.
• Design and deliver team-building events in accordance with identified needs and budget constraints
• Assist less-experienced HR colleagues in the development, revision and enhancement of training materials and courses with regards to approach, content and delivery
• When development cannot be designed and delivered internally, manage and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure optimum performance and make sure the needs of the business are met, and match Disney's culture:
• Provide training briefs and invite suppliers to pitch
• Provide supplier feedback
• Maintain preferred supplier list for team-building and other activities
• Prepare management information regarding training and its effectiveness that can be presented to the Regional Senior HR team
• Monitor and evaluate best practices in the training area and introduce them in the organisation.
• Play a major role in the roll-out of D&I initiatives
• Be involved in OD projects such as the annual engagement survey, roll-out of systems and processes linked to e.g. annual appraisal and talent assessments
• Be actively involved in Talent & Succession planning for the region
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience of US parent matrix organisation would be beneficial
• Demonstrable experience of successfully consulting to the business and designing and delivering relevant and impactful people and team development solutions
• Proven experience in facilitating and delivering training within a large company, preferably within the UK or European market
• Experience of facilitating team building and team effectiveness sessions
• Experience as an HR Generalist a plus
• Involved in Org Development projects
• Demonstrable presentation experience with a strong motivational dimension and familiarity with presentation software (PowerPoint) tools and equipment
• Strong organisational and problem solving skills
• Strong attention to detail, including exceptional time management and prioritisation abilities
• Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels within an organisation
• Fluency in English and ideally one more European language
Additional Information:
• Frequent European travel might be required and as such the candidate needs to have the flexibility to accommodate this
