The Role
The Management Team is seeking a career-minded individual with a passion for the performing arts to secure engagements for its distinguished roster of talent.
The Talent Manager is a detail oriented and organized individual who can successfully manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously. This individual must work well under pressure and make tough decisions of significance in a timely manner. It is vital that this person is a creative thinker and demonstrates a sense of responsibility, independence, sociability, confidence, self-motivation, and flexibility.
The Manager works to ensure both Talent and Brand have all their needs met before, during, and following each engagement. The Manager oversees all logistics, including travel arrangements, pre-event content calls, event briefings, among other things, and continually works to build, develop, and maintain relationships with Talent and Brands.
Responsibilities
• Manage, communicate, and track of engagement dates, fees, deliverables, and related details.
• Represent clients post-booking through event.
Work in partnership with Agent to align and execute against career goals and strategy for clients.
• Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with Brands and corporate partners.
• Organize and implement special requests by Talent or Brands, including riders, travel specifications, and conference calls, etc.
• Review and approve marketing materials, including press releases, advertisements and publications relating to Client's participation in events.
• Act as a liaison between all parties and communicate accurate and comprehensive information to Clients, Talent, teammates, and other internal departments.
• Remain current on Client biographies, topics, and styles to serve as point of knowledge for Brands during the planning stages of their engagement.
• Ensure all aspects of Client's participation at events has been considered and discussed, in order to meet and exceed all parties expectations.
• Provide immediate support for any issues that arise with a project, including during nights and weekends. This includes anticipating travel delays, developing contingency plans, and managing last minute or unforeseen complications.
• Create a comprehensive briefing through meticulous planning, in depth discussions, contract details and additional research as needed, to ensure all parties expectations are aligned and the event is flawlessly executed.
• Manage contact records to ensure the most up-to-date information is available.
• Travel to events and provide on-site support to Brands or Talent when required
• Deliver unparalleled service, providing 24/7 support, creating unmatched value and trust with Talent and Clients.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in professional office setting or in a related field
• Previous experience in talent representation and/or an extensive understanding of the booking process a plus
• Success will be defined through this individual's ability to establish productive working relationships with presenting organizations
• Constant focus and proper execution of the artists' and clients' tailored booking plan is at the heart of this position
• The ability to effectively communicate complete, accurate, and timely information throughout the booking process is critical
• Impeccable organizational skills, acute attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize are essential
• This individual must be an instinctive networker, have a natural sense of urgency, and be a strong negotiator with the ability to connect with the leaders of our field
• Candidates must have the ability to engage in conversation and relay interest, passion, and excitement when securing engagements for VE's roster of artists
• Available to work an extended schedule, including weekends and evenings, according to demands of the workload
• Proficiency in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and CRM databases
