EXPERIENCED POST-PRODUCTION SOUND ADVISOR familiar with current industry formats and technical standards for both film and HD.

We have just completed a great 5.1. mix (based on the director’s vision) in
a small studio using Pro Tools. The advisor is expected to guide our mixer
and bring said mix to the technical level that would satisfy industry
requirements including (but not limited) to Dolby 5.1 standards; this would
include supervision of filling in any holes for ambiance/backgrounds and
other related specifics.
The goal: creation of the best possible mix for DCP, HDCAM-SR and DVD for submission to festivals and other such screenings as well as possible
theatrical distribution.
The ideal advisor would also have access to a large mix (dub) stage suitable for Dolby 5.1 and Pro Tools system for one or two limited session/s allowing evaluation and minor correction of the mix created in our current small studio.
DEFERRED PAY, CREDITS and other appropriate incentives (a win-win situation to be discussed).
