Full Time Job
We are seeking a Materials and Post Production Manager to handle materials and delivery for the international sales and domestic distribution of feature films and documentaries. Position to start as soon as possible.
Main duties for the position involve all deliveries IN (from filmmakers) and OUT (to clients): collecting, maintaining, and delivering all masters and distribution materials for a large feature film and documentary catalog, including various responsibilities related to the intake and cataloging of film materials, as well as delivery of master elements to distributors, platforms and broadcasters worldwide.
The ideal candidate would be interested in a full time position that would allow for exposure to all aspects of world film sales and distribution. Daily work will involve interfacing with clients (distributors around the world), producers and post production houses. Attention to detail is a must. A general knowledge in technology, particularly changing HD video and digital cinema standards and video and image editing software, is required.
Main Responsibilities:
• Oversee physical and digital asset management and catalog all materials for films in our 180+ titles catalog
• Work with filmmakers to draft the Delivery Schedule, take in and organize all materials related to films including video masters, legal documents, and supporting materials
• Coordinate with labs and post-houses to ensure proper delivery standards and create deliverables for film releases
• Conduct thorough ''Quality Control'' inspections of all delivered video & audio materials
• Coordinate with distribution partners to ensure full delivery of all necessary elements to support a film's release
• Publish titles directly on platforms like Amazon or Vimeo On Demand, after having created the necessary technical assets in-house if needed
• Advise colleagues on technical standards and new technologies
• Aid in preparation for film markets of media and tech devices
• Provide assistance in various delivery and technical tasks as they arise
Experience and Skills:
• Bachelor's Degree required
• Experience with post-production and finishing workflows (including but not limited to audio mapping, standard codecs, bitrate limitations, etc.)
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro and other audio/video software, to be able to create assets and deliverables in-house
• Ability to problem solve and rise to the challenge of various tasks as they come up
• Demonstrated experience in the film industry (sales, distribution, festivals, production or post production) a plus, as well as ability and enthusiasm to learn about the film business and its environment
• Strong organizational skills with a specific focus on attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and adapt to the demands of the job meeting strict deadlines, problem-solving skills, remaining flexible, calm and focused while multi-tasking
• Ability to work with a team but also have the ability to be self-sufficient on main responsibilities
• Experience with/interest in independent film strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of DCP technology, KDMs and DCI standards strongly preferred

Additionally, we work with over 300 festivals and non-theatrical screening venues each year to program our films. We consult for a major multi-territory broadcast partner for which it acquires almost 200 titles a year.
