UI/UX Developer
United States - Remote
Position Summary
Vision Media is seeking a UI/UX Developer to improve interfaces across our entire digital platform ecosystem. We are looking for someone who excels at breathing life into products that artfully balance expression and functionality. Your role will be to work with developers and stakeholders across multiple products.
You are a creative individual with excellent aesthetic judgment and who excels in collaborating within a team environment. An admirably talented creative, and positive force that naturally encourages camaraderie among your peers. We have an incredible team of developers, who we are excited for you to partner with and create incredible work.
Responsibilities
• Identify user behaviors
• Translate concepts into wireframes, mockups and prototypes
• Communicate designs to team members, stakeholders, and other interested parties to help people understand what to build, and why
• Enforce, as well as evolve, company UI/UX guidelines
• Create rapid prototypes using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Help maintain visual and brand consistency between all products and outlets
Requirements
• Knowledge of user-centered design processes, information and interaction design approaches, web design best practices, and web standards
• 4+ years' experience in web design
• 3+ years' experience working in wireframes using Adobe XD, Figma, UXPin, or similar tools
• Extensive knowledge in graphical design tools
• 2+ years' experience in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS (Sass, LESS), and Bootstrap (or similar framework)
• Hands-on experience in WCAG 2.0/2.1 for web development a plus
• A compelling portfolio of work that demonstrates high-quality design work
• Strong information presentation (visual and written) skills
• US-only telecommuting position; Must be available during business hours in Pacific Standard Time.
