Director of Accounting
Vision Films is an independent worldwide Distributor in business for 28 years, with a large library of Feature Films and Documentaries. Vision Films licenses all rights including Theatrical, Home Video, Television and VOD to buyers in all Territories of the world. In addition, Vision has a Domestic DVD and VOD business with a DVD output deal with a major studio and is a VOD aggregator directly servicing over 20 TVOD & SVOD platforms.
Location: This position will be at the Company's headquarters located in Marina Del Rey. Individual may possibly be able to work remotely.
Reports To: Reports directly to the President
Major Responsibilities: Responsible for all accounting functions.
• Maintain company financials under the accrual method.
• Bank and credit card reconciliations, month and quarter end reporting.
• Coding and entry of all general ledger entries and cash receipts.
• Manage all incoming royalty reports from domestic VOD and international sales.
• A/R including invoicing, aging reports, collections and settlements.
• A/P including research of vendors.
• Manage payroll
• EDD and US Treasury Reporting
• Monthly and quarterly royalty reporting to producers with expense charge backs, summary of licenses and payment terms.
Experience:
• Must be proficient in QuickBooks Pro and Microsoft Excel.
• Must have at least 2 years experience in the entertainment industry
• Must have basic knowledge of the entertainment industry ie/Rights Management, Deal Terms, Delivery Items, and Profit Participation Reporting.
• Must have a degree in Accounting and Finance.
• Results-oriented, decisive; able to resolve problems quickly and effectively and determine appropriate courses of action
• Personal/professional integrity and proven discretion in handling confidential information
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent memory, consistency and written word skills
