Village Roadshow Entertainment Group enjoys a reputation as one of the industry's leading co-financing and co-producing companies and includes global franchises under its partnership with Warner Bros. such as the MATRIX, SHERLOCK HOLMES and OCEAN'S franchises to Academy Award® recognized films including JOKER, MAD MAX: FURY ROAD, AMERICAN SNIPER and HAPPY FEET.
Currently, VREG is committed to increasing its development and production of content with a further emphasis on a focused television and streaming strategy as a complement to its core business of developing and co-financing feature films.
VREG is looking to fill an internship position, either paid or for academic credit, in its Business and Legal Affairs department. The ideal candidate will have completed their first or second year of law school and taken some coursework relating to Entertainment, Film, Television, Copyright and/or Trademark. Prior legal experience at an entertainment firm or studio is a plus, but not a necessity. A strong interest in the entertainment business is a must. Duties will include reviewing agreements, conducting research, chain of title, compiling data/creating charts or logs and performing other duties as assigned.
The right candidate will receive hands-on training in the entertainment industry with the unique opportunity to work in the areas of feature film and television (scripted and unscripted). We are looking for professional, hardworking, energetic and reliable candidates with excellent communication skills and great attitudes! All candidates must be willing to work 12-20 hours/week and must be a U.S. citizen.
