Overview
Vice Media is looking for assistant editors with experience in digital, television and film formats. Our assistant editors are the primary force for organization within our edits. Their responsibilities run throughout the post process from ingest to delivery. The ideal candidate will take pride in thorough and efficient work and tackling new problems as they arise.
Responsibilities
• Ingest media in SAN and StorNext environments
• Sync and organize footage within standardized project structures
• Make exports for translation/transcription and review
• Make radio edits and scene cutdowns
• Download and organize supplementary materials such as music/graphics/archival for editors
• Media manage and transfer projects using FTP or Aspera
Qualifications
• 1-3 years of Post Production Coordinating experience
• Fluent in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Creative Suite
• Understands the post finishing workflow for delivery of on-air and social assets
• Strong working knowledge of digital codecs and their appropriate applications
• Experience with metadata tagging on ingest to a media asset management system
• Ability to work in fast paced, ever-changing environment
