We are looking for people who can edit and post videos from the news bulletins, Studio 10 and other programmes to social channels
You will need to enjoy being part of a local newsroom, as well as a broader team around the country. You'll also need to be hungry for news and on top of the latest social tools, algorithms and technologies that engage with audiences.
We're also looking for people with an editorial passion, proven skills in social ( Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram) and video production and editing.
Duties and Key Responsibilities:
• Produce and edit video content for 10 News First and 10 social accounts
• Use CMS and other systems for digital output of 10 News First bulletins
• Find innovative ways to tell a story
• Monitor analytics and self-report
• Execution of daily content plan
• Ensure content goes out within given timeframes and in line with content sharing arrangements
• Ability to edit and optimise broadcast content for a social audiences
• Ability to edit and optimise broadcast content for a social audiences
• Produce for social with a strong sense of our strategic tone, style and voice, accuracy and spelling is key
• Basic understanding of media law and regulatory requirements
Experience and Skills:
• Developing understanding of news production processes and content creation
• Basic video editing skills essential, with some professional or tertiary experience using software such as Premiere, Media Composer, Final Cut Pro or
Easycut desirable
• University or TAFE qualifications in media
Overall, we're looking for someone with a passion for all-things social, news and video, who has the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced news environment, while maintaining a cool, calm head. You will also have a keen eye and attention to detail, be super proactive and keen to innovate. The role requires flexibility to work outside regular office hours, including early mornings, late nights or on weekends when required.
