Sr. Manager, Reporting and Consolidations
This position will have a dual role. The first being an integral part of the Network Controllership team, working with all members of the team and interacting with all levels of personnel throughout ViacomCBS.
Primary responsibilities within Network Controllership will include:
• Preparation of monthly close journal entries
• Communication and coordination of monthly close deadlines and requirements to the Network divisions
• Monthly and quarterly P&L, Balance sheet, Intercompany and Related party submissions to Corporate
• Preparation of monthly actuals cash flow and submission to Corporate
• Preparation of various quarterly reporting schedules for submission to Corporate
• Preparation of quarterly P&L and Balance sheet variance analyses
• Analyze current accounting procedures and recommend improvements where necessary
• Act as a backup in a variety of areas and functions
• Preparation of ad hoc analyses required by the Finance team, SOX, internal and external auditors
The second will be assisting the SVP, Controller of the TV Entertainment Segment which consists of the CBS Television Network, CBS Sports Network, CBS Television Stations, CBS Interactive, CBS Television Studios and CBS Television Distribution groups.
Primary responsibilities for the TV Entertainment Segment will include:
• Automating and improving the month end close process
• Coordinating various reporting requests for submission to Corporate and Tax
• Working with the divisions to prepare a segment level flux/cause of change analysis for both the P&L and balance sheet
• Segment level P&L and balance sheet eliminations
• Coordination and preparation of quarterly Representation and Bring Down letters
• Act as the primary point of contact for all inquiries related to the Segment
• Assisting with transition and efficiency plans on building out the new Core Controllership functions
Mandatory Skills:
• CPA a must
• Ability to understand complex accounting issues and troubleshoot
• Energetic self-starter with strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented; ability to prioritize and work within a deadline oriented environment
• Ability to work both independently as well as in a team atmosphere
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and complex formulas
• Prior TM1 experience a plus
