VIacomCBS Creative & Strategy – ViacomCBS's award-winning in-house advertising, marketing and branding studio – is seeking a senior level copywriter.
This position works closely with all team members to conceptualize, develop and deliver strategic & creative copy, content and communications that connect with ViacomCBS's business, internal and consumer audiences across all media, including:
• Campaigns (print, digital, on-air)
• Digital activations
• Video (sizzles, corporate, pro-social, etc.)
• Branding and Identity
• Speeches/scripting
• Marketing strategy and positioningExperiences and events
• Print Materials (invitations, cards, signage, etc.)
• Much more – if it can be conceptualized and written, we do it
They will also partner with clients to understand and deliver on their objectives, and work with Project Management team to ensure projects arrive on-time and on-budget.
You're first and foremost a writer – a creative force who crafts compelling concepts and copy that drive action. You understand that strategy and creativity go hand-in-hand. You get a charge out of finding innovative, thought-provoking, unique and creative ways to deliver a business message. You're a true collaborator who thrives in a brainstorm but can also work independently to create top-tier work. You've got a strong voice but you can tailor it to meet client needs. Ideally, you have experience in the media industry.
Responsibilities
• Conceive, develop and write materials that effectively communicate clients' objectives in creative and compelling ways
• Brainstorm innovative ideas that capture audiences' imaginations and push the creative envelope while still delivering clear messaging and driving action
• Generate brand strategies, marketing plans and other materials that effectively position ViacomCBS and its brands
• Supervise junior writers' projects by working with them to conceive ideas, review copy and ensure a project stays on schedule
• Partner with clients to understand their objectives and deliver on briefs
• Present strategies and creative work
Basic Qualifications
• 7 years experience in copywriting, content creating, marketing, strategic branding, editorial writing, speechwriting and copy editing
• Excellent writing, organizational and communication skills
• Agency or in-house experience. Media industry experience a plus.
