Full Time Job
Summary:
• Provide support to Distribution Business and Legal Affairs Attorneys in connection with distribution of ViacomCBS programming services and ancillary content on a variety of platforms, including cable and satellite television, telco, wireless, internet and IPTV
• Administer contract database and records system
• Assist with monitoring of contractual and regulatory compliance
• Additional support to attorneys as needed, including drafting and reviewing legal documents, memoranda, correspondence and support materials
• D rafting, negotiating and finalizing a wide variety of agreements, with an emphasis on production and vendor agreements (e.g., vendor agreements, domestic, out-of-state and international), guest releases, premise releases, amendments and other above-the-line personnel agreements as well as some development agreements and below-the-line personnel agreements
• Analyzing existing agreements, interpreting terms and advising internal clients
• Managing all aspects of document delivery for original programs, including coordinating among development, movies and current series executives, Qualified candidates should possess experience with contracts and legal concepts, knowledge of intellectual property, entertainment, technology, privacy and/or internet law
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in a legal support role in
production management and reviewing delivery documentation
• Possess excellent drafting, analytical and organizational skills
Additional Qualifications
• Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously in a demanding, fast-paced environment; to communicate effectively with others verbally and in writing; and ability to work independently on projects assigned by attorneys
• Excellent writing and negotiating skills (including ability to interpret and analyze comments from opposing representation)
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to handle high volume of work, as well as recognize priorities and manage time effectively to meet deadlines; ability to function on an independent basis, with moderate supervision
• Relevant experience in the media industry is a plus
