What you'll do in the role of a Finance Manager:
T he Finance Manager (News & Operations) will lead & oversee the financial reporting of News, Operations & Property cost centres. There will also be a significant involvement in the forthcoming SAP implementations (from Oracle), managing the potential impacts on News, Operations & Property centres. This role has two reports, both financial analysts.
Your mindset is one of having a consistent focus on continuous improvement, especially relating to improved/more streamlined processes relating to transformation/SAP implementation.
Functions will include, but not limited to business partnering, month-end reporting, forecasting/annual budgets, PO/expenses/credit card approvals etc. & staff development.
What are we looking for in a Finance Manager? What's essential??
• 7 years experience in a senior finance role, performing similar duties as described above
• CA/CPA or equivalent
• Experience with SAP and/or Oracle projects
• Exceptional stakeholder management capabilities, this is a key business partnering role
• Intermediate (pivot tables/v look ups etc.) Excel skills/proficient in other MS Office applications
• Strong business English language skills both oral and written
• Proactive approach to challenges and issue resolutions
• Ability to work independently, taking ownership & accountability for assigned tasks and meet deadlines
• Driving change/continuous improvement/process improvement/process change
