Overview & Responsiblities:
Do you love the music industry and pop culture? We are looking for a coordinator to provide key support across the department and organization's objectives! This coordinator will report to the Senior Director on the team. Every member of the department plays an integral role in reimagining and establishing the music brand vision with our internal and external partners!
Responsiblities:
• Support and assist with ideation and securing talent for daily artist opportunities for MTV News, Digital & Social segments and initiatives.
• Support on all MTV tentpole events and specials & key series.
• Coordinate details for show producers, creative teams with logistics pertaining to show tapings and events as directed by the Sr. Director, Music.
• Collect promotional & production assets and information for tentpoles events, series & campaigns.
• Organize & distribute assets and information to internal teams for tentpole events, series & campaigns.
• Provide ideas for global artist campaigns for key releases.
• Coordinate social initiatives for events and shows to ensure 360-degree coverage across MTV brand social platforms.
• Logistics liaison between production teams and artist management for tapings and events.
• Secure talent for Digital & Social Franchises and various Internal event needs
• Maintain and develop relationships with key members of the music and entertainment industry.
• Collaborate with MTV's social media team on music integration initiatives that span across MTV social brand platforms.
• On-site contact at tapings and events as needed.
• Assist in managing the department intern.
Qualifications:
• 1-2 years entertainment industry experience
• College degree (BA, BS)

• Excellent ability to work with clients with authority and strong verbal communication skills
• Performs well under pressure
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Accurate, detail and dead-line oriented

• Strong sense of urgency and ability to complete tasks on time.
• Should have an in-depth understanding of the millennial generation.
• Proven strong knowledge of television, music, pop-culture and emerging trends from the past to the present.
• Strong understanding of the MTV brand, programming and creative reinvention.
