Overview
MTV Entertainment Group (MTV, Comedy Central, Paramount Network, Pop TV, VH1, Smithsonian Channel, TV Land, CMT, Logo and their respective content studios – as well as MTV Documentary Films) Communications team is looking for a department coordinator who will provide overall support to the team, and assist in the development and implementation of communications campaigns across the portfolio including series and tentpoles.
Responsibilities
• Provide administrative support for the team including expense reports, scheduling, et al.
• Assist in preparing for presentations, meeting agendas, research and itineraries
• Update and maintain media lists and press contact information
• Help comprise and distribute press releases, programming notes and media alerts
• Provide support for Festivals/Conferences/Events/Awards!
• Tracking/organizing awards deadlines/submissions for shows
• Manage subscriptions, order department office supplies
• Maintain the press websites for all brands including content, layout and copy
• Upload releases/photos to the site
• Help as needed at events such as press junkets, press screenings and tentpoles!
• MTVE Newsletter – Compiling, drafting, editing and distribution
• Show moments blast - Crafted, outlined, compiled, drafted, edited and distributed
• Coordinating/formatting information and content for teams
• Use Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, etc.)
• Help the team when they needed (blasts, reports, clips, schedules) as long as approved by the manager
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree
• 1 year of work experience (strong internship experience considered)
Additional Qualifications
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills
• Able to multi-task, meet deadlines and adjust at a moment's notice
• Must be very organized with phenomenal attention to detail
