• Brand/Division Overview:
The Promo Ad Operations team's primary goal is to grow partnerships with internal marketing teams, grow subscriber base, and drive viewers to engage with our content. We work closely with teams throughout the organization (including media, product, marketing, and analytics), providing ad operations expertise to drive consistent and scalable campaign execution. We strive for best-in-class operational excellence and take pride in our craft.
• Role Details:
In this role, you will be a key contributor to our Promo Ad Operations team supporting the internal marketing across ViacomCBS. The Promotions Campaign Manager will have the unique opportunity to own publisher ad operations for strategic initiatives across the ViacomCBS portfolio. You will take ownership of flawless online advertising campaign executions across a myriad of placements and platforms including display, mobile, and video. The ideal candidate will be focused, detail-oriented, accountable, and can bring an ownership mentality to the table. The ability to break down and communicate complex technical, operational information to non-subject matter experts is a big plus.
• Your Day-to-Day:
Set up and manage digital advertising campaigns; focusing on timely, accurate implementations, and campaign delivery
Partner with multiple internal marketing and creative teams at ViacomCBS to receive and traffic promos from multiple brands to focus on company priorities
Publish video, mobile, and display promos through our internal ad server across all ViacomCBS products and sites
Ensure all creative asset specifications and ad policies are met before launching of new executions
Monitor, analyze, and optimize campaign performance against delivery and KPI objectives
Proactively conduct in-depth QA through the use of debugging tools
Troubleshoot creative issues, implement custom executions, monitor delivery issues, optimize data integration, address opportunities to reach specific audience sets, and be knowledgeable about site ad tagging logic to address ad disruptions
Utilize available strategy points around promo placement and targeting from an internal marketing perspective while utilizing company resources to apply audience targeting, show targeting, site targeting, or other avenues to successfully place promos in front of the correct audiences and track success rates accordingly
Establish and successfully handle implementation timelines for all internal stakeholders
Coordinate asset hand-off with the client and internal teams; while proactively communicating updates and setting expectations with all stakeholders
• Key Projects:
The Campaign Manager will continuously hone project management skills throughout the creation and scheduling process of custom, integrated campaigns in partnership with various internal and external marketing teams
Provide suggestions on novel ways to improve current Ad Operations processes and procedures to enhance team excellence.
Join kick-off calls with marketing teams to understand advertising specifications and discuss custom or complex executions for launches
Build first-hand knowledge of publisher side advertising technology to consult with partners on best practices
Staying educated on key developments in the rapidly changing digital advertising ecosystem and utilize that knowledge to update or build new processes that support changing industry needs
Qualifications:
• What you bring to the team:
You have –
1-2 years experience managing digital advertising campaigns
Proven experience with ad serving platforms (i.e. DFP/GAM/FreeWheel)
Experience with Salesforce strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve complex problems
Extreme attention to detail
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel (pivot tables, lookup, and formulas)
Possess strong organizational, verbal, and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to see the ''big picture''-- Recognize and prioritize concurrent projects with different timelines to maximize revenue and client satisfaction
You might also have --
Experience with third-party ad serving technologies (such as DCM, Celtra, Clipcentric, etc.) is strongly preferred
Knowledge of Rich Media, Video Encoding, HTML5
Knowledge of web page composition and analytics
Good understanding of HTML, CSS, and Javascript
Knowledge of Programmatic advertising
Experience with Content Management Systems
