VIS Social Impact is a new branch of Viacom International Studios within Viacom CBS. The work of The Studio will be guided by the VIS Social Impact framework which focuses not just on creative content itself but also on/off air representation and stakeholder management. These principles ensure VIS Social Impact embodies our values in not just the stories we tell but also in who we work with and how we do business. Our Creative Focus is programming with purpose; primarily drama and documentaries which deliver impact and change across Climate, Equity and Health as well as consultancy with other studios within VIS.
What will you be doing?
Working directly with the London based Creative Director, the VIS Social Impact 'title TBC' is expected to:
• Support the Creative Director across all areas of the VIS Social Impact creative slate wherever required.
• Work with Creative Director to coordinate all the production processes for all content creation work.
• Support in the development of the VIS Social Impact creative strategy and it's execution.
• Co-ordinate VIS Social Impact Creative Talent relationships tracking development of ideas and ensuring FLD parameters are adhered to and agreements fulfilled.
• Support in the development of all content on VIS Social Impact Slate
• Visually drive the content in which they are involved, encourage innovation and suggest ideas to promote / develop the work of VIS Social Impact.
• Work across VIS group to track commitments to On/Off Air Representation and ensure data is captured accurately and shared effectively to support implementation of VIS Social Impact framework.
• Support the Creative Director across all areas of the VIS Social Impact Stakeholder Management principles to support implementation of VIS Social Impact framework.
• Support the Creative Director and other members of VIS Social Impact team in the design of presentations, development sessions both virtual and in person to support the VIS Social Impact Stakeholder Management principles.
• Attend and present both virtual and in person staff development sessions to support implementation of the VIS Social Impact Stakeholder Management principles within VIS and Viacom CBS as required.
• Review and give notes as required across all Content produced through VIS Social Impact.
• Liaise with partners within VIS and externally with individual creatives and production partners to ensure the various projects within VIS Social Impact run efficiently.
• Keep across of the editorial objectives and make sure all elements of every project are delivered in a timely and editorially appropriate manner.
What are we looking for?
• Good knowledge of television production processes and a track record of creative programming, ideally scripted drama and/or documentary.
• Knowledge of and contacts in the film and tv industries.
• Demonstrable interest in Social Impact.
• Experience of helping to shape other peoples' work in development/script/edit.
• Experience of working on popular/successful projects or shows.
• Experience of coordinating multiple projects concurrently.
• Effective negotiating and managing upwards.
• Office and IT experience essential
• Experience of working on set useful both in the UK and on location abroad.
• Knowledge of all the relevant legislations including copyright, insurance, artist release forms, health & safety etc.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Work calmly, think clearly under pressure and multi-task.
• Good research skills
• Excellent organisation skills
• Excellent IT Skills
• Be able to troubleshoot and be resourceful.
