Job Title: Viewer Insight Kids Executive, UKNEE
Department: Nickelodeon/Milkshake!
Location: Hawley Crescent, London
Reporting To: Head Of Kids Viewer Insight UKNEE
Purpose Of The Role:
Viewer Insight sits at the heart of the Viacom brands and understanding the core audience informs everything we do. This role will support the Viacom Kids business in delivering clear, actionable insights through analytics, qualitative and quantitative research to meet the ongoing needs of the Kids Channels across VIMN.
The main focus of this role is to monitor and observe programming and marketing viewing trends of Nickelodeon and Milkshake! and will work closely with Programming, Scheduling, Marketing, PR, On Air, Consumer Products and other Brand Insight teams to ensure the business is delivering the best possible product.
Key Accountabilities:
• To interrogate all available research sources to provide internal and external stakeholders with data analysis, creative, actionable insights to help inform decision making for all Kids channels across the Viacom portfolio – including Channel 5
• Daily analysis and interrogation of the overnights
• Tracking the performance of key competitor channels and brands
• Preparing and presenting weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports on brand performance – including linear, non-linear and digital metrics to all departments
• To work closely with the Pay forecasting and finance team to provide up to date insight and analysis and ensure joined up thinking and processes
• To work with all Insight Brands in the UK – Youth & Entertainment Brands and Channel 5 portfolio
Experience & Knowledge:
• Demonstrate a strong knowledge and interest in television and film, and a passion for children’s media
• High level of numeracy
• Proven knowledge of BARB & Techedge, media analysis tools and techniques
• Experience of VOD/non-linear insight and online reporting ideal and not essential
• Experience of online measurement ideal and not essential
• Experience of survey design ideal and not essential
• Ability to produce high quality written materials and deliver strong written and verbal presentations
• An enthusiastic approach to work and an inquisitive mind
• An ability to work efficiently under pressure and to agreed deadlines
• A disciplined approach to work, ensuring projects and requests are seen through to a proper conclusion
• Previous viewer insight and/or research analysis experience necessary, with a genuine interest in people and a curiosity for understanding TV viewing is essential
• Previous experience in a Media company / Broadcaster would be ideal and not essential
