Advertising is being reinvented through big data, audience segmentation tools, digital platforms and formats as well as new consumer consumption patterns. Viacom is forefront of this reinvention of advertising, with a broad range of products and programs designed to connect with Viacom’s fans in whatever environments and on whatever platforms are most meaningful to them.
In this role, you will build and lead a team of product managers and internal and external engineers who design and deliver advanced advertising products and experiences for the Viacom Vantage platform. Your goals are to deliver a product and platform that can scale to meet the needs of both clients, publisher partners and Viacom. You will be responsible for all aspects of the product lifecycle, from vision and roadmap to delivery and ongoing management.
• Lead, define and manage the technical product roadmap for the Viacom Vantage platform, ensuring Vantage continues to lead the market in innovation, targeting and effectiveness measurement while hitting our revenue growth targets. Roadmap should include both committed product innovations over the upcoming two quarters as well as long-term vision and innovation plan.
• Manage engineering goals and delivery through partnership with engineering team for both internal and external clients.
• To support roadmap development, build and execute a product prioritization framework for product and partnership investments
• Partner with solutions and account teams in the rollout of our new products as part of the sales lifecycle from pre-sales and planning through delivery and reporting
• Define and measure advertiser KPIs and how they are impacted by campaigns
• Build measurement framework for solution delivery, including KPIs and ongoing scorecarding and reporting on product performance and trends
Basic Qualifications
• Experience building and leading teams
• Proven experience, thought leadership and results leading ad tech and/or data science products within digital media, online video or television over the past 7 years
• A deep understanding of customer research, audience targeting and advertising business models, both current and emerging, with proven experience translating partner needs into product execution
• Technical fluency in the fundamentals of digital, social and television advertising, including working knowledge of systems for planning, delivery and reporting on media across multiple channels
• An entrepreneurial approach with a bias for action that is passionate about building businesses within a fast-paced environment, while changing the way partners perceive our brand and our products
• Understanding of advertising and agency ecosystem in digital, social and television
• Experience working closely with major platform partners in digital and social ecosystem, with proven track record of successful partnerships
• A track record of exceptional partnering across a wide-array of internal business groups and executive stakeholders
• Master’s degree preferred
Additional Qualifications
• Clearly defined approach to employee development, including experience in developing goals and managing performance
• Experience presenting to and meeting with senior executives in agencies and at marketers
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including experience building and leading presentations as well as creating product documentation (user guides, FAQs)
• Experience in visual presentation of information and visual communication
• Passion for problem-solving and the ability to find answers to difficult questions – the sort of answers that others might struggle to find
