The Vice President, Social and Digital Strategy for Viacom Corporate will be responsible for:
• Supporting to the SVP, Corporate Communications, and the SVP, Marketing Strategy to develop and execute Viacom’s corporate social and digital strategy.
• Working with an enterprise wide editorial function, develop and execute content distribution approach reaching key internal and external audiences, understands the content priorities across businesses and how these should be represented across the company’s digital channels (social media and Viacom.com experience)
• Oversee content management and audience growth of Viacom.com.
• Develop and manage corporate and executive social media content across all platforms.
• Develop digital executive visibility programs for Viacom’s CEO and Executive leadership Team
• Oversee all paid media strategy and execution across digital and social channels. This includes: paid search, social media, display advertising, mobile advertising, etc. This is also inclusive of reviewing existing audience targeting across all platforms and recommending appropriate changes that best deliver content to our stakeholders.
• Serve as a resource for the social media needs of Viacom’s international corporate communications offices. This includes understanding marketing needs and providing recommendations on how our international colleagues can use digital and social media to achieve them.
• Produce and manage annual digital marketing budget in-line with Viacom best practices.
Basic Qualifications
• 8 -10 years experience either as a communications or marketing professional.
• Bachelor’s Degree in communications, marketing or related field is required.
Additional Qualifications
• Exceptional written and spoken communications or marketing professional.
• Experience developing anf executing social/digital campaigns, including organic and paid social programs.
• Experience in working with major social platforms in developing executive communications strategies.
• Working knowledge and expertise implementing digital and social advertising programs (Google, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter).
• Strategic thinker who can translate complex concepts into actionable, understandable plans and programs.
• Strong knowledge and application of social media in the internal communications environment.
• Prior experience working in a digital marketing agency preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Self-starter who can balance multiple priorities simultaneously, able to work to tight deadlines, establish clear priorities and maintain professionalism under pressure.
• Team management skills in staff growth, diversity and inclusion, and building cultural community.
