Part Time Paid Internship
Please note, we have limited internships available for our spring internship program. Available openings may include:
As a Communications/Public Relations intern you will help communicate the company's strategic vision both externally and internally; and generate awareness of the channel, driving tune-in to our programming and enhancing the image of our brands through media outreach. You will connect with our audiences by telling compelling, consistent and profound stories that ultimately build brand advocacy.
As a Creative Development intern you will support the team with the creation of digital and linear projects from initial pitch to premiere. This could include scripted, unscripted series, specials, docs, as well as short form stunts. These teams work with writers, producers and show runners to create content that utilizes new storytelling formats and new production models.
As a Content Distribution intern, you will help negotiate distribution agreements, maximize revenue and marketing opportunities from traditional (Comcast, DirecTV, Verizon FiOS, etc.), digital (Amazon, Hulu, etc.) and new media distribution channels while ensuring that fans can discover and engage with Viacom content on every available device and platform.
As a Marketing intern, you will communicate the value of each network to viewers and the cable communities. You will play an integral role in building and engaging customers, strategies, and campaigns. There are various areas within Marketing that contribute to the overall impact of the networks' message. These areas include Brand, Consumer, Digital/Social Media, Integrated and Partner Marketing.
As a Programming intern, you will handle day-to-day scheduling of content on our networks; this includes short and long term planning of linear and multi-platform events, stunts and/or marathons. Aside from linear, the programming strategy team plans and schedules content on all platforms where our content can be found: apps, online, Video-On-Demand (VOD), Snapchat, etc. In addition, they handle the relationships with production companies that provide original and acquired content and ensure all content is delivered and ready for air.
As a Research intern you will help analyze and disseminate for TV ratings, digital/social or consumer insights (i.e. consumer trends, attitudes and behaviors) to various teams throughout the company, including Programming, Production & Development, Marketing and Press departments. These teams use focus groups, surveys and other tools to provide qualitative and quantitative support in order to develop an understanding of each network's target audience.
