Overview and Responsibilities
Viacom Media Networks - which leads the digital experiences for MTV, VH1, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, Paramount, CMT, TVLand and LOGO - is seeking a Senior Product Manager, for our Connected TV Portfolio. This role reports into the Sr. Director of Product Management.
We are looking for an experienced product leader with a real passion for video and a track record of launching successful video and/or mobile products. You will be an integral member of the team focused on delivering best-in-class video experiences for all our brands across all platforms.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable writing user stories and acceptance criteria, analyzing data to prioritize/sequence the product backlog and formulate A/B and multivariate tests, surveying the competitive landscape to be on top of the latest trends and standard methodologies, and testing the latest builds to provide the engineering team with timely feedback.
Responsibilities:
• Translate user needs and business goals into intuitive and compelling consumer products used by millions of users
• Lead technical and non-technical cross-functional teams through product planning, development, test planning and product launch
• Closely monitor market trends and maintain awareness of trends and advancements in the digital consumer space
• Create, maintain and sequence the backlog of stories in JIRA
• Strive for agility, but build with practicality, reusability, and scalability in mind
• Create any documentation necessary to aid the product development lifecycle
• Become intimately familiar with the data model and our proprietary content management system

• Interdisciplinary: You work with design, engineering, business, marketing, ads, and research. You can navigate a large company with ease
• Process Minded: You have a strong sense of standard methodologies for product management. You are comfortable with both traditional development methodologies and agile development
• Creative and Innovative: Dreaming up and studying new products are your hobbies. You always know how to make your products better
• Phenomenal Teammate: Open and high reciprocal mentality
• Altitude: You are a product guide who is equally comfortable working with customers, engineers, sales and senior-level partners
Basic Qualifications
• 4 years executing high technology products, from development through launch
• 2 years of direct oversight of feature development for Native Connected TV Apps (eg: Roku TV, Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, HTML5)
• Experience executing iOS and Android apps a plus
• Track record of successfully delivering products to market
• Deep experience with Agile development methodologies
• Strong communication skills, ability to lead meetings and drive results
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment that requires excellent time management and the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
• Ability to rapidly adapt and respond to changes in the environment and priorities
• Hands on and detail oriented
• Bachelor's degree required, higher degree a plus
