Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing (Corporate, Facilities and Professional Services) - Viacom
Can you identify and lead strategic sourcing initiatives across Viacom business units? In this position, you will focus on Corporate, Facilities and Professional Services (CFPS) related indirect expenditures, which deliver cost savings and quality solutions based on close collaboration with business and finance leaders. Although the immediate requirement is to work in the CFPS spend category, you will be an adaptable Sourcing professional with interest and flexibility to work across multiple categories. You will report to the CFPS Executive Director, Global Strategic Sourcing.
Responsibilities:
• You will dedicatedly engage and propose measures to CFPS senior management that drive global strategic initiatives through sourcing efforts, including supplier and spend consolidation.
• You are responsible for drafting and preparing formal supplier requests including RFP’s, RFI’s, and RFQ’s across a wide range of indirect spend products and services that generate qualitative and quantitative supplier responses, solutions, and savings to the company.
• You will work as team member in vendor evaluation and selection; lead selection process and negotiations; recommend winning bidder based on the best value for the company
• Lead specified business units through sourcing process and ensure sourcing decisions are consistent with overall company strategy, policy and needs
• Lead negotiations with vendors, in collaboration with key partners. Offer guidance and negotiation tactics to team.
• Work with various domestic and international corporate groups and partners to understand full vendor landscape and to identify savings opportunities across vendor engagements
• Establish and maintain close working relationships with client business units
• Make presentations to business unit management and senior company management on sourcing initiatives
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required
• 5 years of prior supply chain or other sourcing experience
• Experience in sourcing indirect spend goods and services such as professional services, MRO supplies, facility services, HR services, Freight and Food & Beverage
• Strong analytical skills; MS Excel proficient; financial modeling preferred
• Experience with SAP or other ERP
Additional Qualifications
• Ability to convert large volumes of data into significant and actionable information
• MBA a plus
• Experience with Ariba and other eSourcing and Spend tools.
• Deep knowledge and experience of sourcing and procurement processes
• Successful Project Management track record
• Financial and pricing analysis
• Attention to detail, sense of urgency, work ethic
• Strong written and communication skills; MS PowerPoint, MS Word proficient
• Ability to engage with wide array of personnel – Viacom executives to associates, vendors and customers – both large and small
• Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently as well as lead and participate in cross functional teams throughout a full project lifecycle
• Awareness of standard methodologies regarding vendor management (e.g., strategic alliances, supplier certification, etc.)
• Intellectual curiosity and professional commitment to excellence
• Excellent documentation and requirements analysis
• Ability to communicate effectively and clearly
• Ability to work on a multitude of concurrent projects
• Familiarity with key vendors serving the entertainment industry a plus
• Strong negotiation skills
• Experience in complex negotiations and prioritizing multiple components
• Experience developing and/or presenting business cases
• Ability to receive and give constructive criticism
