Full Time Job
This position is responsible for working closely with the Senior Vice President and Vice President in the day-to-day operations of the domestic in-theatre marketing group.
• Oversees interactions with internal marketing and distribution departments and executive office administrative staffs
• Communicates with major and regional exhibitor partners, including circuit executives in film, marketing, field operations in the US and Canada
• Cultivates and maximizes relationships with Canadian and US field agencies, film studio counterparts, service providers, third party vendors and others
• Establishes and maintains strong relationships with national and regional circuit marketing departments, third party partners and service providers along with theatre field operations, and liaisons with internal departments including studio executive offices, sales divisions, marketing finance, operations, special events, publicity, interactive, film studio counterparts, theatre management
• Collects and disseminates department communications to designated exhibitor partners and related business entities on behalf of the domestic office
• Forecasts, evaluates, conceptualizes and executes strategies for in-theatre marketing promotional items, in conjunction with Vice President, for use by national and regional circuits for on-air, in-theatre and social media channels
• Manages in-theatre promotional giveaways budget on a picture-by-picture basis.
• Inventories, distributes and tracks use of promotional, media and charity goods requests
• Fields and distributes material and product requests from domestic home office to third party fulfillment house
• Plans, oversees and manages all aspects of Distribution department special events, including interactions with sourcing, catering companies and budgeting
• Travels, attends and assists with CinemaCon convention needs for annual Las Vegas industry convention
• Participates and attends select circuit marketing and brainstorming sessions, exhibitor managers’ meetings and vendor pitch meetings
• Manages and oversees select creative projects and development of custom movie and/or studio materials including corporate ads, special VIP exhibitor events
• Creates and updates creative assets for theatrical properties, corporate initiatives and/or promotional use
• Fields national office phone calls, implements administrative reports, marketing finance budgets and spreadsheets
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or equivalent work experience
• Proficient PC (Microsoft Office and Filemaker Pro) and creative design programs (Mac, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator)
• 3-5 years of marketing/industry experience required
