Scheduling Assistant
Reports to the Channel Managers
A key role within the MTV UK Programming department, the Scheduling Assistant will primarily assist the team of schedulers with grid entry into WON, while supporting the departments with day-to-day requirements including competitor tracking, TX Collections and other ad-hoc support. An excellent entry level role to the UK Programming dept.
PROGRAMMING / SCHEDULING responsibilities:
• Creation of finalised programme schedules, whilst assisting in the system entry of all grids to required timelines, and to be the primary operational contact for these channels for day to day enquiries.
• Assist Programming Department with research for themed strands.
• Research current trends for future programming possibilities and forward planning.
• Consistently maintain and update the Competitor Tracking Document.
• Share all TX information with MTV International upon request.
• Research and provide all US ratings information as requested from Director of Programming.
• Monitor number of TX’s and expiry dates for acquired programming.
• Provide editorial feedback on all programming under consideration from both IPC and external distributors.
• Create and maintain screener library.
• Provide general assistance to the Channel Managers and Music Programming Managers
• Provide cover for the Network Schedulers and VOD & EPG Scheduler in times of absence. Full awareness of all programming across our channels and full knowledge of our content stocklists.
• Collect post.
