WHAT IS THE ROLE
We are looking for a Researcher to work across our Official Charts music portfolio that airs across our linear TV channels. Applicants must have a proven track record in music / entertainment programming and demonstrate strong editorial and organizational skills. You will utilize official and trusted sources when compiling research notes; possess strong scriptwriting skills; have a keen eye for detail and boast an encyclopaedic knowledge of the UK charts, celebrity and popular culture.
• Provide research notes to Charts Producer.
• Write scripts, ensuring content is accurate & engaging to MTV core audience.
• Attend edits – overseeing line-cuts & packages when instructed; working alongside an editor.
• Liaise with Charts Producer to ensure the completion of all necessary delivery paperwork at the point of programme delivery.
• Be a pro-active creative voice in editorial and forward planning meetings.
• Continually evaluate existing content and develop new format / strand ideas.
• Researching, sourcing and managing 3rd party content for inclusion in shows.
• Assisting on other music/ents productions when required.
• Ability to work weekends / bank holidays / Christmas & New Year when necessary.
