Job Summary
The Project Manager, Localization Mastering, will be responsible for overseeing the localization process of titles and projects for international exploitation.
Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
* Creation of high-level Archival audio and subtitle assets to service all domestic and international downstream markets for features and trailers
* Communicate details regarding available and newly created assets
*Manage all localized assets as outlined in the Master Order, meeting the needs of all relevant divisions within the company. Including but not limited to text documents, dub cards, and language/territory road map
*Oversee mastering of trailers for assigned titles, including audio & subtitle orders and final HDR approval
* Manage production workflows at and across all audio, subtitling and QC vendors
* Work directly with all Distribution, Production and Acquisition groups to ensure proper and timely delivery of original assets
* Communicate and Manage project scope and timelines with mastering team Project Managers and relevant parties
* Manage and communicate updates, status changes and issues that will impact the delivery schedule due dates to ensure that any impact to clients is avoided or communicated expediently
* On-site supervision of picture and/or audio mastering activities to ensure process/project specifications are completed accurately for each language
* Analyze QC reports, troubleshoot problematic assets, and resolve issues
* Deliver and track all final assets to archive related systems, ensuring they are logged correctly
* Project level budget creation, tracking & variance reporting
* Create purchase and work orders for mastering related services based on the approved budgets
* Reconcile invoices and purchase orders for final approvals and processing
* Liaise with internal and external studio clients to ensure projects are completed accurately
* May be assigned to various tasks and projects, as needed
Basic Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in studio-level Digital Mastering Department or qualified Mastering Facility
* Robust knowledge and understanding of foreign language localization, as it pertains to film and digital media
* Foreign and Domestic Mastering related experience
* Strong knowledge and understanding of various video, audio and subtitle formats
* General understanding of Digital Workflows and related Media Management
* Strong computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn a wide variety of applications
* Flexibility to adapt to changing scope and timelines
* Strong oral and written communication skills are required to effectively communicate with Company personnel and outside parties
* Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously - detail and process oriented is a must
Additional Qualifications
Desired skills:
* Experience with traditional and advanced digital mastering workflows, processes, and techniques
* Experience with Mastering related equipment, standards, and materials
* Xytech and SAP experience a plus
