Full Time Paid Internship
Viacom Girls Who Code Program
Program Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity for two alumni of the 2017 Viacom Girls Who Code class to participate in an ongoing internship experience during the summer of 2018 and subsequent semesters. Each semester, GWC Interns will be placed with a specific team, working under a supervisor and gain practical work experience within the Media and Technology Services (MTS) department.
Program Benefits:
• 8-10 weeks (depending on school schedule) paid internship
• Executive & Junior Mentors
• Opportunities to participate in special programming (i.e.: executive panel sessions, recruiter forums, company events)
• As a program goal Viacom may offer an ongoing internship commitment; however, it is completely at Viacom’s discretion given business needs and the individual’s ability to meet expectations outlined at the beginning of each internship
Eligibility:
• Applicants must be 18 years of age by the start of the program (June 2018) (*If you will not be 18 at the start of this summer’s internship, you are encouraged to apply when you meet this criteria)
• College enrollment is not required but if in high school, candidates must be on track to obtain their high school diploma
• Must be available for the full length of the 8-10 week internship program (depending on school schedule)
• Must be available a minimum of four full days (32 hours) per week
Application Timeline:
• Applications open Monday, March 12th
• Completed applications must be received by Friday, March 23rd

• Selected candidates will participate in an interview at Viacom with a Selection Committee made up of MTS and human resources staff during April
• June 2018 – Program begins
