Marketing and Partnerships Manager, MTV Shuga Cote d’Ivoire.
Based in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire
Staying Alive Foundation
Fixed Term Contract - 2 years
We are looking for a Marketing and Partnership Manager who will work on managing elements of the MTV Shuga campaign in Cote d’Ivoire. The contract would initially be for 24 months with a possibility to extend dependent on external funding.
Responsibilities
Establish, develop and manage partnerships in the local and international development sector which benefit the MTV Shuga campaign aims.
• Support the London based Project Manager and team across the campaign and lead on delivery of the Cote d’Ivoire based Shuga meetings, events and peer education activities.
• Work alongside MTV SAF and VIMN Africa team to develop and manage relationships in local media, political and commercial sector which benefit the MTV Shuga campaign aims.
• Work with VIMN Africa, VIMN International and SAF on Marketing Strategy for MTV Shuga Campaign to ensure maximum visibility for all MTV Shuga content.
• Support MTV Staying Alive Foundation & VIMN Africa on distribution for MTV Shuga.
• Work closely with VIMN Office to ensure all commercial relationships locally are aligned with overall VIMN Africa strategy.
• Support MTV Shuga Project Manager & VIMN Africa on Communications strategy for all areas of Shuga campaign roll out.
• Manage relationships with MTV Shuga cast and agents.
• Assist the Shuga campaign team with admin duties as and when required.
Key Qualifications
• Substantial knowledge and experience of successfully developing, delivering and evaluating communications activities and projects
• Proven event delivery experience
• Good network of contacts in Cote d’Ivoire
• Marketing experience
• Experience of managing complex projects
• Will be a strong relationship builder and influencer
• Media relations experience
• Good knowledge of the TV industry and emerging broadcasting trends
• Highly organised and adept at managing competing priorities and projects under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
• Strong influencing skills and an ability to build effective relationships quickly
• Good leadership skills to communicate with people operating at all levels
• Handle sensitive issues when needed showing sound judgment in different situations
• Work calmly and think clearly under pressure
• Be determined and reliable
• Excellent organisation skills
• Self-motivated, organized and flexible
• Solution-oriented and results driven
• An interest in social issues
• Sound understanding of and interest in global health & international development preferred, particularly in Sexual and Reproductive Health.
• Ability to understand and be fully committed to the aims and objectives of the MTV Staying Alive Foundation.
• Fluent in French and English
