Media Planning Executive (International)
Job Title: International Media Planning Exec
Department: Media Planning
Reporting To: Media Planning Manager, MTV
Location: London, Hawley Crescent, NW1 8TT
Contract: Full-time for 13 months to start end of June 2019
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To be responsible for assisting the implementation of all Media Planning and associated initiatives across the VIMN Network, as defined by the VP of Media Planning, and as governed by the International Programming Council and International Property Marketing Team.
Reporting to the Media Planning Manager, the Media Planning Executive will ensure that all International media plans across MTV and the wider VIMN Network are collated, planned, implemented and distributed to all relevant stakeholders. Responsible for the day-to-day logistics of campaign management and liaising with relevant parties and fielding requests from IPC, IPM, IMC, Velocity and Regional Media Planning Heads.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Primary:
• Maintain IPC Airtime Planner according to launch dates and property prioritization plans.
• Compose IPM on air campaign laydowns for IPC key property launches
• Collate promotional inventory data across all Regions to enable accurate projections for IPC launches
• Chair and minute fortnightly MPC calls across all MTV Internal Regions. Act as the key liaison figure for MP Reps in the implementation and execution of all MTV’s brand identity.
• Manage communication of all MTV asset delivery and rotational instructions across all MTV regions.
• Carry out promotional airtime audits for MTV countries across the globe, seeking to understand individual market context
• Compile promotional inventory projections for Velocity projects and liaise with Regions to ensure projections are accurate and achievable.
• Liaise with Cluster Media Planning Heads to collate local interpretations of IPC Airtime Planners and to monitor adherence to IPC Airtime Planner campaign weights
• Data gathering across all Regions for detailed post campaign analysis
• Liaise with IMC for planning of Music initiatives and projections
• Assist in brief composition for priority campaigns
• Contribute to IPMO meetings, discussions and campaign idea generation.
Secondary:
• Key contributor to pan-Region junction flow best practice analysis.
• Competitor Analysis of promotional airtime
• Devise and manage a secondary priority level solution involving Navigational elements
• Involvement in Media Planning Best Practice education and training across the business
• Ad Hoc Projects – take responsibility for ad hoc projects and testing
ROLE SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
• Solid proven experience of Media Planning strategy and operational technology within a Network Broadcaster
• Experience of Reporting and Analytical systems, preferably Techedge or a market equivalent
• Experience of computerised scheduling systems. An excellent level of computer literacy - an aptitude for and interest in technology
• Ability to communicate and distil information to a wide range of people and levels
• High level of numeracy and excellent attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines effectively
• A confident and pleasant manner as this job involves dealing with many people across the Company
• An understanding of the role of Programming within a Network Broadcaster
• An understanding of the role of Media Planning, Marketing and Research within a Global Network Broadcaster
• Knowledge of the production process, as well as working with acquired programming would also be useful.
